I, tan simple y sencillo, pero con un sonido que seguramente acribillará tus oídos.

Una alineación conformada por leyendas del Black metal como: Abbath (Immortal) en voz y guitarra rítmica, Ice Dale (Enslaved) en guitarra lider, T. C. King (Gorgoroth) en el bajo, Armaggeda (Immortal) en los tambores y Demonaz (Immortal) en el trabajo de composición lírica, I es una banda que mezcla de una forma muy peculiar las virtudes de todos estos personajes en un sonido poco conocido, hablo de una mezcla black- heavy metal, catalogada por muchos como "black 'n' roll".

Los temas en las letras son batallas nórdicas y el sentimiento de desprecio hacia la humanidad y su fe, todo acompañado de una atmósfera épica y oscura. Aquí la letra de "The Storm I Ride":

Dato Inútil: Abbath (vocalista de I) declaró que la principal influencia de esta banda es Bathory (precursora del Viking Metal) e incluso dedican el track "Far Beyond The Quiet" al difunto vocalista de esta.
